Digital Photo Contest
Osprey wants to know the what and where of your adventures with our packs. Send us a photo of yourself, your friend, or your significant other with the following elements:
1) User with their Osprey pack.
2) The environment that the pack is being used in.
3) Some or all of the contents in the pack, particularly one item you consider to be “crucial gear”.
Include the following information with your photo:

Osprey runs a strong regional ad campaign, focusing on smaller publications like Mountain Gazette, City Sports publications and Blue Ridge Outdoors as well as national publications like Backpacker, Climbing, and Backcountry. If we use your photo for an ad you’ll receive proper credit, $100 and an Osprey cap and t-shirt.
Contest rules:
This contest is for amateur photographers – no professionals!
Submissions will be accepted beginning August 1, 2007 through April 1, 2008 for use in our 2008 ad campaign.
Here are some guidelines and suggestions to help you compose the best photo possible:
1) Be sure that the photo captures all the elements listed above.
2) Concentrate on the composition – user and pack in foreground, vistas in background.
3) Humor is highly encouraged!
4) Shoot your pictures on a 5 megapixel or higher digital point-and-shoot or digital SLR camera at the highest resolution setting available. For example a 7.2 megapixel Casio Exilim will produce a 4 mb jpeg image that is 6x10 inches at 300 dpi – more than adequate for this contest. SHOOT AS BIG AS YOUR CAMERA WILL GO!
5) Submit your photo in JPEG or raw format.
All submissions become the property of Osprey Packs.
If we use your submission in an ad we’ll send you a cap, t-shirt and $100.
We reserve the right to use your photo in more than one ad or as lifestyle on our website. Be sure to indicate whether you want your name credited on the photo.
