Osprey’s women’s specific Mira AG™ 34 is always up for a long day hike. The Anti-Gravity (AG™) suspension system—a combination of LightWire™ frame, mesh backpanel, BioStretch™ shoulder harness and AG™ hipbelt—distributes weight to keep you comfortable no matter how far you roam. Dual upper and lower compression straps help stabilize the load and provide add-on storage options if you have extra bulky gear.

The pack’s main compartment is accessed via a front zip panel so you can see all your gear at a glance. A series of well-designed pockets keep you organized on the trail. There’s a front panel fabric shove-it pocket for quick transitions and a large zippered front panel pocket with internal mesh pockets for securing small items. Dual side stretch mesh pockets provide space for extra water bottles and the hipbelt has two zippered pockets for keeping trail snacks or a phone. A scratch-free zippered slash pocket provides safe harbor for your shades.

Additional storage features include a helmet attachment loop and Osprey’s Stow-on-the-Go™ trekking pole attachment system to stash your sticks. An integrated removable raincover protects your gear if the weather rolls in.

This pack comes with a Hydraulics™ LT 2.5 liter reservoir complete with Osprey’s magnetic sternum strap bite valve for instant access to fluids.

Comments about Osprey MIRA AG™ 34:

I absolutely love this pack. After reading many reviews on osprey packs I chose this one. I knew osprey has the best technology so that is why I chose their brand. The one bad review that kept coming up for this bag is that it squeaked while hiking. My response to this is who cares? I noticed the bag making a bit of noise and after awhile I was so into my hike that I didn't even notice. If you're so focused on the noise then you're doing it wrong. Also I think the bag squeaked the most when I had the most weight in it. But I LOVE the hydration setup. And the trekking poles attachment. I also need all of the easy access pockets on the front so my hiking partner can easily grab the map. I rarely had to remove my bag during the hike. It was a great experience and I will be taking it on every hike. I used this for a 13 mile hike and will be using it until it quits on me! Thank you osprey!! Happy birthday to me!

Comments about Osprey MIRA AG™ 34:

Took my Mira 34 AG with me on an overnighter. I love how it fits me (it has hip belts that are actually long enough!!) and how it carries the weight. The hydration reservoir is the best I've found with the magnetic bite valve, carry handle, and slide seal. My one complaint is with the hiking pole stowing attachment, it rubs my arm in a weird way so I plan on taking it off. Plus if I'm bringing trekking poles, they're going to be used! Great pack, highly recommend it!

Comments about Osprey MIRA AG™ 34:

I read other reviews after I had purchased and was preparing to return this pack -- which really loved -- because it was squeaking BADLY after 4 shorter (½ day) trips. I took it (reluctantly) on a final hike -- reluctant because I could not stand the squeak. I was amazed because it was completely silent!! I tried to figure out if I had adjusted it or loaded it differently but came up with nothing different. Two trips later (day hikes on Pennsylvania portions of the AT) I encountered a couple both of whom were using the Mira (the guy had the masculine comparable pack). Both of them had had early problems with squeaking -she more so than he. But after several hikes the problem disappeared. So, I would urge folks having squeaking problems to be patient. This is truly a wonderful pack -- many and convenient pockets, good fit with much room for tweaking adjustments. The mesh on the back is wonderful for a sweaty hike. I had no uncomfortable rubbing anywhere (a problem with other packs I am a woman 6" 1" 152 lbs.) and this is a rare woman's pack that even fits me. I think this is due to the ample possible adjustments. I think for a minimalist hiker you could do a weekend in this pack although I only plan to use for day hiking. Great pack -- give it a chance to break in!!

Comments about Osprey MIRA AG™ 34:

I really was very excited about this pack. I loved the fit and it hugged my body in a way that felt secure and as if it would not jostle or move about when on and adjusted correctly. HOWEVER, the only time the pack does not squeak is when worn on the front. I will have to return the pack unfortunately as the squeak with every step and with every conceivable adjustment is starting to drive me absolutely bonkers.

Comments about Osprey MIRA AG™ 34:

I wanted to love this pack as much as I love my Aura 50 Ag but as much as I tried, it just wasn't happening. I purchased it in the same size (XS/S) but the hipbelt squeezed and rubbed my ribs no matter how I adjusted it. I don't know if it was the fit or lack of padding in the hipbelt. I always recommend Osprey but I think this particular pack would benefit from a thoughtful redesign to improve the fit.

Comments about Osprey MIRA AG™ 34:

I own three Osprey backpacks, and the Mira AG 34 was my most recent purchase. I use the backpacks for all kinds of things, including travel, work (archaeologist), pleasure hikes, and daily use. I particularly love the back support in all the models I have, especially the mesh and separation from your back, which is great in hot and humid environments to help keep your back dry and isolated. The Mira AG 34 fits nice and snug, with great support, and I love the space/pocket distribution. Unfortunately, the backpack frame can squeak incessantly while you are walking. It becomes very annoying and certainly not pleasant for a hike. The squeak happens where the lower frame hits your lower back/upper hips. I waited a whole month, hoping that it would go away with use. Today, I went back to the store to exchange it. I love the pack enough that I exchanged it the exact same model, but tested all the ones available to make sure they don't squeak. Make sure you put pressure on the frame from various angles and positions, especially on the lower back section to test this. I'm really hoping that this second one will stay quiet!

Comments about Osprey MIRA AG™ 34:

Absolutely love this pack! Got it for international travel to use as suitcase/carry-on/life support for a week long trip. Have tested it a few times on day hikes and it's a champ - comfortable to wear, easy to adjust, lots of space for gear and goodies. My old pack always used to give me aches and pain, especially in the upper back and lumbar areas, but my Mira conforms to fit and eliminates those problem areas. The back mesh breathability makes a huge difference for sweaty days and the internal frame is light and well-designed, fitting true to size. Highly recommend!
