Description

The women’s-specific Osprey Sirrus 50 is ideal for quick overnights or multi-day excursions when you don’t plan to bring the kitchen sink. However, with two loading options—either from the top or via the large zippered front panel—you could bring the sink if you really wanted.

No matter what you choose to pack inside, the Airspeed™ Suspension and spacer mesh harness and hipbelt will keep the load stable and comfortable no matter where you roam.

Organizational features include a removable twin- zippered top pocket and zippered sleeping bag compartment divides the bottom of the pack from the main compartment to safely stow your bag away from the rest of your gear.

Two side pockets with InsideOut™ mesh compression bolster stability and provide easy access storage. And there are also two zippered pockets on the hipbelt, perfectly sized to keep your phone and trail snacks close at hand.

Additional features include removable sleeping pad straps for varied external attachment options, an ice axe attachment loop for high alpine excursions, and an integrated rain cover in case you get caught out.

    Comments about Osprey SIRRUS 50:

Initially I dismissed this pack due to the lower ratings. After bringing home the viva 50 then the aura ag 50 and still not loving them I returned them and bought the sirus 50 I had originally liked.

The other two are great packs, just not the best one for the job regarding my style.
    - Viva lacked size options (one size) and couldn't adjust quite small enough.(not the packs fault)

-The aura is an amazing pack, I just felt the hip straps (and the pack it self) are a little over kill but thats probably why the pack carrys weight so well. It's just too bulky for this little lady. Also the hip strap hugs me too tight for comfort was sore after 30mins

If I was packing 30-40+ lb I would probably have kept the aura because it does carry heavy loads way better then the Sirrus.

In fewer words, if you need a pack for
    - lighter gear
    - legal carry on size (its 22in in the specs but in you sink down the top it's 21in)
    - eazy access
    - perfect amount of pockets (way more then I originally relized)
    - and very comfortable (for me anyway)
    - less bulky then others
    - and minimal

I hope this helps you decide if this pack is the one for you! =)

    Comments about Osprey SIRRUS 50:

I bought this pack to take to Europe backpacking. My fiance has a 48L and after we packed his we figured a 50L would be okay. His 48L held a significant amount more than my 50L Sirrus pack. I don't know if it is the shape of the frame or what it is but I was super disappointed when I received the pack and put it next to his for size comparison. It will get used some day but for now it will sit in my closet.

      Comments about Osprey SIRRUS 50:

I usually don't post reviews, but this bag doesn't have one yet and it desperately needs it because I love this backpack! Spent a couple days picking out the one I wanted (between size, comfort, etc.) and then used it for three weeks backpacking through Europe. Strategic storage compartments make this really easy to pack in more than you think, and the adjustable straps are great to make the bag much smaller (I now use this as a carry-on bag for many flights). Both the adjustable waist belt and torso height really come in handy when you start to get tired because it allows you to fit the pack to your body, and I now swear by the mesh back panel.
