Mike Traslin
Having grown up skiing on the North Shore Mountains of British Columbia, the seed was planted early when Mike’s parents had him on plastic skis by age 3. His passion has remained steady ever since. Being Canadian, it was always Ice Hockey and Skiing in the winter and by the early 80’s it was racing gates and then freestyle Skiing. Once he discovered powder and backcountry skiing he was hooked. It’s a sport which combined physical, mental and spiritual benefits with the freedom to explore without boundaries.

Now his ski wanderings have taken him on adventures into the coast and interior of British  Columbia, Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Yukon and the St Elias Range, on wards to wide open mountain spaces in South America, the steeps of Europe, The Tetons of Wyoming and the Sierras of California and many States and Provinces and mountains in between. He has many dreams, craving more in the future.

Andy Traslin

My parents got me into skiing and the mountains at a young age. Progressed to ski racing, to front country. Then I started finding powder stashes I had to keep going further and further to see what was around the next corner .I like to push myself to the maximum in the mountains to see what I can do physically to my abilities.

I have been racing in the Pro/elite category for 7 seasons now as a mountain biker. Included a 3rd place podium at the Cheakamus Challenge marathon cross country race this past September. Racing enables me to go further and faster in the mountains in pursuit of steep skiing and speed traverses. I worked eight years as a ski patroller. Other activities I like include: free ride mountain biking ,road riding, bouldering, rock climbing, mountaineering, ice hockey, tennis, trail running . I like to go see live bands in small venues, as well I have been following the Vancouver Canucks for many years in quest for the Stanley Cup. Favorite bands: Pennywise,  Fugazi.
