About Breast Cancer Fund

Founded in 1992, the Breast Cancer Fund is the leading national organization working to identify and eliminate the environmental causes of the disease. Connecting the dots between breast cancer and exposures to chemicals and radiation in our everyday environment, the Breast Cancer Fund helps to translate the growing body of scientific evidence into public education and advocacy campaigns that protect our health and reduce breast cancer risk.

Osprey is a proud sponsor of the Breast Cancer Fund’s Climb Against the Odds and Sacred Treks. Every year we provide our custom fit backpacks to extraordinary groups of climbers and trekkers –women and men whose lives have been touched by breast cancer–making these journeys of a lifetime to support breast cancer prevention.

Experience Optional. Inspiration Guaranteed.

Join a team of inspiring women and men in a mountain expedition for breast cancer prevention.  Climb Against the Odds will be the journey of a lifetime for 40 breast cancer survivors and individuals touched by this devastating disease.  Together, the team will demonstrate that - like working to prevent this disease - anything is possible if taken one step at a time.

At the Breast Cancer Fund, our sole focus is to identify and eliminate the environmental causes of the disease.  As a climber, you will bring attention to and raise funds for this critical work.

Beginning in December, the team will begin fundraising and training with the assistance of the Breast Cancer Fund.  In June, the team will gather in Northern California for the final leg of the expedition, the 14,162-foot climb up Mt. Shasta.  Challenge yourself physically and mentally and be part of a team working to make a real difference!
