Since National Park Week began last weekend, the industry has been abuzz with exciting youth engagement announcements, news of record numbers in parks, and Secretary Jewell’s declaration on the importance of measuring the outdoor economy. The crown jewel of the weeklong public lands celebration? Earth Day.

As an industry that relies so heavily on the health of our planet, our community goes all out on Earth Day. From Gore-Tex’s declaration of love for Mother Earth to Osprey inviting consumers to become outdoor advocates, brands found many ways to show their appreciation for Earth and its natural spaces.

OutdoorIndustry.org – Osprey Packs Named Official Partner of the National Park Foundation to Celebrate the National Park Service Centennial – November 9, 2015

Osprey Packs, a leader in creating top-quality, high-performance, innovative packs to comfortably and efficiently carry gear, has been named an official partner of the National Park Foundation to celebrate the National Park Service during its centennial year.

As an official partner, Osprey has pledged a minimum $25,000 donation through the sale of exclusive packs to aid in the National Park Foundation’s mission to protect more than 84 million acres of national parks through critical conservation and preservation. In addition, Osprey will supply the National Park Foundation with Jet 12 kids daypacks and Moki kids hydration packs for use in their Open OutDoors for Kids program focused on underserved youth and getting kids outdoors.

“Osprey is honored to work in partnership with the National Park Foundation during this centennial year and raise money to protect America’s special places, connect people to parks, and inspire the next generation of park stewards,” said Sam Mix, Manager of Corporate Outreach at Osprey Packs. “We are thrilled to be part of this celebration and hope the ‘Find Your Park/Encuentra Tu Parque’ movement inspires national park enthusiasts and stewards for generations to come.”
