Osprey Packs, Inc., a leader in creating top-quality, high-performance, innovative packs to comfortably and efficiently carry gear, had their best Colorado Bike to Work Day in the company’s history, with all 29 employees biking to and from work on Wednesday, June 23.
In total, Osprey employees biked 404.2 miles to work and back home. This equals 20.21 gallons of gas saved (based on an average of 20 mpg) and 392 pounds of carbon prevented from entering the earth’s atmosphere (based on 19.4 lbs of emission per gallon and 20 mpg average).
“We’re very proud of our Team Members for their 100 percent participation in this year’s Bike to Work Day event,” said Sam Mix, outdoor marketing manager at Osprey. “We’re excited to keep the bike momentum going at Osprey, and to continue setting an example for other local companies.”
