Description

The Osprey Talon 6 is a lumbar pack made for running, hiking, or cross-country skiing. Although you may scoff and think of fanny packs as a remnant of the 80’s, the truth is that this timeless design has never really vanished from the endurance athlete’s quiver.

With just enough room for your essentials, the Talon 6 keeps weight off your shoulders and allows you complete freedom of movement. Cinch down the StraightJacket™ compression straps for extra stability if you encounter rough terrain.

Additional storage comes from dual zippered hipbelt pockets that keep your phone and snacks handy and secure. For hydration, two BPA-free PackBottles are included with the Talon 6. They nest inside padded bottle sleeves and are held in place with bungee retainers and side stabilizers.

Without any pressure on your back, you may find yourself having too much fun and going a little farther than you anticipated.

Pros

  • Comfortable
  • Good Suspension
  • Highly Adjustable

Cons

  • Oddball Bottles Included.

Best Uses

  • Running. Fast hiking.

Comments about Osprey TALON 6:

This pack actually works for running. The straps and fittings allow you to cinch it down for almost no movement and good comfort. It carries enough for even long runs and you can use your own bottles if you prefer insulated ones to the oddly shaped ones that ship with it. Have bought three of these now and have no complaints whatsoever.

Exactly what I needed

Cons

    Best Uses

    Comments about Osprey TALON 6:

I have a shoulder injury, so a traditional day pack doesn't work for me. I was a little hesitant to get this bag, because well, it's a fanny pack. However, I found the bag to look outdoorsy enough that I didn't feel like a typical tourist walking around with a camera. I hiked trails (various level of difficulty) for several hours in inclement weather (sleet and rain) at Yosemite. The pack handled the wet weather well. I was able to store raingear, snacks and equipment to make all my hikes comfortable. I'm 5'5" weigh 135 and average build. This bag fits well, I did not need to buy the smaller version of this bag cut for women.
