Description

Osprey’s Transporter 65 is like a burro—strong, steady, and too stubborn to quit. Large enough to handle a long road trip, it has a U-shaped lid with heavy gauge zippers for reliable access to the main compartment.

Outside the bag, you’ll find zippered front and side pockets to hold small items. The zippered top panel pocket provides more storage options.

When it comes time to move, there are padded grab handles at both ends. The long top handles convert to shoulder straps if you want to carry the bag as a pack. And there are also D-ring attachments for an optional shoulder strap.

This tough duffel bag will withstand years of abuse from airport baggage handlers, tuk tuk drivers, yak herders, mule wranglers, and anything else you encounter on your adventures.

Comments about Osprey TRANSPORTER 65:

Use this duffel as a gear carrier on road trips the last few years. The features that originally drew me to it were a clean design with a lack of stitching on the outside of the bag (which inevitably gets scuffed and shredded), the large U-shaped zip opening, and pockets. The colors and sizes are also nice. Overall we've been really happy with it. The combo carry handle and pack straps are great.
My only complaints I hope Osprey will soon improve is that the zipper pulls are short and not very effective. I wish they'd use real, nickel-plated zipper pulls, especially on the large main zip. Also (and this goes for most manufacturers), I wish they'd stop putting giant logos all over the bag. I don't care to look like an advertisement, especially when traveling. It'd be nice to have a more understated logo size.

      Comments about Osprey TRANSPORTER 65:

I have found the Transporter 65 to be the perfect bag for multi-week international travel. I was looking for a bag which I could easily handle, and was particularly looking for a bag to carry into out-of-the-way lodging, where a porter and elevator were just not going to happen; and with enough capacity that I could live for two or three weeks out of it. I have successfully used this bag as an airline carry-on (I suspect you don't want to cram it full), and never had an issue on any airline where they accept any kind of rollaway luggage. I wouldn't want to take it on an extended hike, but for a mile or two, I was quite comfortable carrying it - over cobblestone, curbs, and stairways.

Bought this to replace a 20 year old North Face that had seen better days. While packing for my first trip with this bag one of the zippers failed before anything was put into that compartment. That's right....Zero days of use until failure.
