Telluride Blues and Brews: Talon’s First Music Festival

main stage

The main stage in Telluride Town Park.

The 19th annual Telluride Blues and Brews music festival took place this last weekend and Osprey Packs was there as always to join in the fun.  This year was something special though and it wasn’t just because of the B-52’s, Gov’t Mule or the epic jamming of Phil Lesh and all of his friends.  It was because it was Talon the Osprey’s first attendance at a music festival and boy oh boy does that bird know how to get down!

I had a brief moment to ask Talon some questions about his experience…

This year saw some really fantastic musical acts at the Telluride Blues and Brews, who was your absolute favorite?

Talon: Every band was a lot of fun but I was most entertained by the March Fourth Marching Band.  They have like twenty people on stage, a huge horn section and they are all dressed up! The music is up beat and they do all sorts of crazy stunts. I’m just hoping next time I see them I can fly up on stage and join in!

This year Blues and Brews had over 50 breweries attend the Grand Tasting on Saturday afternoon, which beer did you like best?

Talon: Well I got to try a couple but I think my favorite beer had to be the Ghost Face Killah from Twisted Pine Brewing in Boulder, CO.  It’s brewed with peppers and I love spice! It was the perfect pairing for the fried catfish and sweet potato fries.
