Designed for the savvy traveler, Osprey’s Ozone Travel Pack 46 has a mesh backpanel for comfortable carrying. The padded hipbelt and shoulder harness stow away for easy transport.

Inside the main compartment you’ll find a padded 15” laptop and a scratch-free tablet sleeve. A collapsible zippered lower compartment keeps gear separated. There’s also a front panel pocket to keep you organized.

Exterior compression straps stabilize the pack if you load it up at the local village market. Stretch mesh side pockets give you extra storage for a water bottle or a snack.

When your travels are over and it’s time to pack up and head for home, the Ozone Day Pack 46 anchors to any of the wheeled luggage in the Ozone Series via Osprey’s innovative Handle-It™ attachment system to create a single rolling unit so you are nimble on the way to the airport.

Comments about Osprey OZONE TRAVEL PACK 46:

I really wanted to love this bag and I do love a lot about it. However, I was highly concerned that when the shoulder straps are tucked away, like they would be if the bag was checked while flying, the buckles necessary to use the shoulder straps are just small little plastic bits flapping around on the bag. I could see myself putting the bag down at my feet and stepping on one of those buckles, breaking it, and making the shoulder straps unusable mid-trip. I have seen other Osprey bags that have the buckles tucked nicely into the body of the bag - why doesn't this bag have that? In the end, I returned it. If that feature is fixed, I would love to own it.

Comments about Osprey OZONE TRAVEL PACK 46:

I own two other Osprey packs: a 2007 Porter 46 which I've used to travel through Europe (awesome pack); and a 2010 Aether 70 which I've only used on two overnighters (excellent pack). I can attest to Osprey's durability, quality and design superiority through all three packs (including this Ozone 46). Having said that, the Ozone 46 water bottle pockets are terrible. Too shallow. By virtue of setting the pack on the ground, objects (including various sized water bottles and coffee travel thermoses) ALL unseat themselves and come out of the pocket. I'm still debating whether I should return this pack because of this.
I've owned the Ozone 46 for three weeks now and use it daily for work (I need a black bag to wear while in uniform) and have traveled to a work conference with it. For daily use, excepting the water bottle pockets, it's great: excellent organization pockets (not too Spartan, not overloaded either); good-sized main compartment; a handy lower compartment which I think was intended for shoes; excellent shoulder straps and suspension - the pack doesn't sag below my waist while wearing over my shoulders. A nice feature is the side-carry handle so you can carry in a briefcase manner, which I occasionally do.
For travel, again excepting the external water bottle pockets, the pack is terrific. Easily accommodates your laptop AND tablet, clothing (I didn't put shoes in the lower pocket though) and other daily necessities for a multi-day excursion. I didn't need to open up the pack as I went through TSA PreCheck, but the laptop pocket is very easily accessible and well-padded, including the bottom.
All-in-all a great pack, lousy external water bottle pockets.
